Avstar Flight School
Avstar Flight School is a professional flight training
institution which offers an exceptionally
high standard of flight training from the new National Pilots Licence right the way to the Airline Transport licence.

flight school is based at Pietermaritzburg airport which is situated in
the heart of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Due to the diversity of the surrounding
landscape pilots are exposed to numerous varying flying conditions
ranging from high elevation mountainess terrain to low plateau’s and
sea level conditions.
Oribi
airport is a registered South African aerodrome which services the need
of regular scheduled flights.
This provides our trainee pilots with the
experience needed to cope with high traffic volumes as well as exposing
them to nearby un-controlled aerodromes.
The
airport also boasts sufficient facilities with the likes of four NDBs
and a VOR making it the ideal aerodrome for instrument training.

only 40 min away from the sunny beaches of Durban and just over an hour
from the snow capped mountains of the central Drakensberg,
New AMO at Virginia Airport
Avstar Aviation will once again stamp its authority on the aviation industry through the acquisition of an AMO at Virginia airport. The new and improved AMO will be up and running by 1 May 2009. The focus will primarily be on the jet (Citation series) and turbine (King Air and Cheyenne Series) aircraft; however the AMO will be able to accommodate most aircraft types
